Artists' Reception Sunday, August 15th from 5-7pm.

Barbara Wylan will once again be showing acrylics on linen with Vineyard or Cape Cod Imagery. Barbara states "sometimes it's in the most unlikely places that I discover these images. Their appeal might owe to atmospheric effects, or to reflections on water, but always contains what I see as inherent good 'design'. When the process moves to putting paint to canvas, 'design' once again asserts itself. Because I value it so highly, it now serves both as driver, and as a most important end-goal." Barbara's moody, soft, etherial views of the Vineyard and the surrounding Cape have been capuring the hearts of collectors far and wide for many years.

Painter Ron Gee brings a new dimension to his landscapes and still-lifes through his concave and convex canvases. A classically trained artist, Ron Gee's newest work focuses on still lives and the moody landscape that surrounds his up island retreat.

The reception, held from 5-7 pm at the Field Gallery in West Tisbury, across from Alley's General Store. It is free and open to the public.
