Artists' Reception Sunday, August 1st from 5-7pm.
The Sisters are Back!
Marlee Brewster Brockmann's paintings are mood-driven, sensitive explorations of the landscape, simultaneously calm and mysterious. Art critic Robert Knox describes Marlee's paintings as being like "waking after a dream with some of that dream still in your eyes." Extensive traveling in Mexico has brought color and energy to Marlee Brewster Brockmann's newest body of work. Turquoise agave fields and golden sunsets delight our eyes and stir our emotions.
Patience Brewster is a prolific artist and illustrator with more than 30 children’s books and many gallery exhibits to her credit. The whimsical charm and wit of her work has won many hearts over the years. Patience Brewster has a new series of whimsical drawings that bring life and meaning to a world of playful fiction. Animals, Tea cups, pencils and the like come to life under Patience's hand.
The reception, held from 5-7 pm at the Field Gallery in West Tisbury, across from Alley's General Store. It is free and open to the public.
